BOOKING POLICY
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the booking policy, and understand how northern lights can appear during your reserved night (for more information please refer to the FAQ question “Colours and intensity of northern lights”).
Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you the confirmation.
In case of unfavourable weather/space weather forecasts on the night of your booking, Boreak can cancel the hunt.
Your payment is refunded only if we cannot capture northern light on camera on your reserved night (regardless of the intensity of the northern light).
For cancellations made by customers, the payment is not refunded regardless of the reason.
To give you the best chance of seeing aurora, we check the conditions only a few hours before it gets dark on your reserved night. We will start sharing updates about the possible start time of the hunt from then.
It is customer’s responsibility to read the update messages from Boreak about the hunt’s starting time. If a customer doesn’t arrive at the meeting point (in city centre of Rovaniemi) shared in those messages on time, the hunt may begin without them, and the payment will not be refunded, no matter the reason given.
PHOTOS/VIDEOS POLICY
The photos that you receive from the hunt might have watermark. No raw photos are sent to customers.
Due to a price adjustment, bookings made after 30 September 2025 no longer include photo editing in the price.
If you placed your booking before 30 September 2025 (for any date in the 2025–2026 season), your photos will still be sent edited.
If you booked on or after 30 September 2025 (for any date in the 2025–2026 season), photo editing is not included in the price.
Photos taken during the hunt with our professional camera by your guide are always included and will be provided to you unedited.
However, If you would like your photos professionally edited by us using Lightroom Pro, this service is available for an additional 70€ per person, payable in cash during the hunt. Photos are usually delivered within 24–48 hours.
The photos/videos taken by Boreak during the hunts on which the customers appear, might be used for creation of contents/marketing purpose on Boreak’s social medias (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube) and on Boreak’s website.
If you wish not to appear on social medias and/or website, we respect your choice, in that case please contact us to let us know.
The photos shared by link with customers, strictly belong to Boreak and to customers only.
Any others photos and videos taken by Boreak, strictly belong to Boreak only. Example: photos and videos from Boreak’s website or social media can’t be dowloaded and used for personal/professional purpose.
General Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)

Article 1 – Purpose
These General Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of booking tourism activities through the Boreak online platform.
The Platform offers for sale:
• activities organized directly by Boreak (e.g. Northern Lights chases in Rovaniemi),
• activities operated by third-party partners (“Partner Providers”), available through cooperation agreements.

Article 2 – Role of Boreak
For activities operated by Partner Providers, Boreak acts solely as an intermediary, providing technical services that enable the Customer to book and pay online.
The service contract is concluded directly between the Customer and the Partner Provider, who remains solely responsible for delivering the activity.
Boreak cannot be held liable for the execution, safety, or quality of activities operated by Partner Providers.

Article 3 – Booking and Payment
• Bookings made via the Platform are binding between the Customer and the Partner Provider.
• The displayed price includes booking fees and, where applicable, local taxes.
• Payment is made at the time of booking through the secure payment systems provided on the Platform.

Article 4 – Cancellation and Refund Policy
• Each Partner Provider applies its own cancellation and refund policy.
• These conditions are displayed during the booking process.
• Boreak cannot be held responsible for cancellation or refund decisions made by Partner Providers.

Article 5 – Liability
• Boreak Activities: Bourréac is responsible for the proper execution of services it directly organizes.
• Partner Activities: The Partner Provider is solely responsible for the organization, safety, and delivery of the booked activity.
• Boreak disclaims any liability for damages, losses, or accidents occurring during activities operated by Partner Providers.

Article 6 – Insurance
It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate insurance coverage (travel insurance, health insurance, etc.) before participating in activities booked via the Platform.
